Wacky hair day at Awana's

Having lot's of fun making Dad's Christmas cake!

9/ 19/11 - We measure, weigh and stir Dad's Christmas cake to get it ready to bake 4 hours and then let it sit for 3 months before we put the finishing icing on it. We also had a really fun time in the process!

12/20/11 -  3 months later and the cake is finished, iced and ready to surprise Dad.

Camping with friends at Bodega Bay

What we love about camping  and what makes camping special!

*  waking up before the sun (though that's special anyday, not just camping). Mom doesn't always agree with that one!

* walks on the beach, as the sun is coming up.

* cool creations with the sand.

* having science class on the beach as we watched vinegar, baking soda and food coloring erupt into a volcano.

*working together to put up the tent when the wind was blowing so hard we weren't sure we could do it, but Dad was great for restoring our faith and confidence in tent camping.

* Dad cooking breakfast.

 * Marshmallows/smores on the grill.

* Fruit Loops cereal (special treat for camping only!)

 *having fun with friends.

* more fun playing in the sand.

* more marshallows/smores.

* more volcanoes.

*and especially time to be away with one another and enjoy the great outdoors!
